FetchRover

Terms & Conditions

Last updated September 6, 2026

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the FetchRover Chrome extension or the fetchrover.app website (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Simply installing or using the extension constitutes acceptance of both. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

The Service

FetchRover is a point-and-click tool that turns web pages into structured data you can export. It’s free — see our Pricing section for current plan details.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

Accounts

If you create a FetchRover account — directly or by signing in with Google — you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure, including any password, passkey, or two-factor recovery codes. You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you sign in with Google, you’re also subject to Google’s own terms for their sign-in service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate a target website’s own terms of service or robots.txt
  • Scrape content in a way that’s illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Harvest sensitive personal data at scale (e.g. health, financial, or identity data)
  • Resell or redistribute scraped data as a standalone product
  • Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service or the sites it interacts with

You’re solely responsible for making sure your use of the Service complies with the terms of any website you scrape.

Google Sheets export

The extension can export collections directly to Google Sheets. Connecting your Google account is optional, and the access you grant is used solely to write your exported collection into your spreadsheet — never for any other purpose. Your use of Google Sheets is also governed by Google’s own terms, and you can revoke FetchRover’s access at any time from your Google account permissions page.

Spam protection (hCaptcha)

We use hCaptcha to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse. By using any part of the Service protected by hCaptcha, you also agree to hCaptcha’s own terms of service and privacy policy, which apply in full to that use. You agree not to bypass, script around, or otherwise defeat hCaptcha challenges.

Analytics, error reporting, and feedback

The extension sends anonymous usage statistics by default, containing no URLs and no scraping configuration. You may optionally enable detailed analytics, which also sends the page URL and your extension scraping configuration, and you can disable it at any time from the extension settings. We use Sentry for error reporting, which sends data only when an error occurs. The in-extension feedback form has an optional switch to attach your scraping configuration and page URL to a report.

In none of these cases do we collect the web page content or the data you scrape. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Detection and account restrictions

Many websites deploy anti-bot and anti-scraping technology. They may detect automated or repeated extraction and respond by rate-limiting, blocking your IP address, or suspending or permanently banning your account on that site.

You are solely responsible for complying with the rules of any website you use the Service on, and for any consequence of breaking them. FetchRover is not responsible for any detection, block, suspension, ban, loss of access, or loss of data on a third-party website resulting from your use of the Service.

Intellectual property

FetchRover owns the extension, the fetchrover.app website, and all associated branding. You retain ownership of the data you extract — it’s stored locally in your browser and we don’t claim any rights to it.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the accuracy of scraped data or that the Service will work on every website — sites can change their layout at any time.

Scraped data tables are temporary storage only. We are not responsible for any loss of scraped data, whether caused by uninstalling the extension, clearing browser data, browser storage eviction, or any other cause. You are solely responsible for exporting and storing any data you need to keep permanently.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FetchRover is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. (This clause is a placeholder pending a confirmed jurisdiction — to be finalized with legal counsel before launch.)

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
